10 Items to pack for your elopement.

It’s easy to say “lets just run away and elope.” But I have conducted a list of things you absolutely NEED to bring in order to help your wanderlust elopement dreams come true.

  1. Pack hiking shoes. Ditch the heels and grab something you can hike in! In order to get those dream shots in the woods, on top of mountains, and in front of waterfalls you need to be able to get there! Have you ever hiked in heels? Its definitely no fun. You don’t want to risk breaking your ankle on your day!

  2. Your vows! Really this applies to any wedding. But, if you are saying vows to each other instead of the typical “I do” make sure to WRITE THEM DOWN! Handwritten paper always looks better than notes in your phone.

  3. Snacks, water, and….alcohol? Day of is normally hectic. Running to get everything lined up, getting your hair and makeup done, stress in general. Sometimes its easy to forget the essentials like food. I suggest carrying a protein bar in your bag for quick and easy snacking. I would also suggest bringing water incase its a bit of a hike from your ceremony destination. Oh, and alcohol to celebrate, ya know, if your into that.

  4. Marriage license! I’ll keep this one short and sweet, you need this for it to be legit!

  5. I know, you wanna show off that wedding attire but trust me, on a mountain or beside a creek it can get a bit chilly. Maybe personalize it? My personal favorite is the leather jackets that say “Till death” on the back.

  6. Do mosquitos seem to always find you? Bring bugspray! I (normally) have some in my bag incase of an emergency but its always a great idea to bring your own.

  7. Worried about rain? No problem! Just pack a few clear umbrellas! Clear umbrellas look great in photos! pst. you should check out my blog on why rain on your wedding day is good luck.

  8. Map of the trail, I don't know about you but I don’t wanna get lost.

  9. First aid kit, just incase of an emergency.

  10. Deodorant, I think this one is self explanatory.
