Hello there! My name is Miranda Rose Hancock. I am the one woman show that is responsible for Miranda Rose Photography.
So, you want to get to know me, eh? I am a local Lexington Kentucky photographer although I LOVE to travel all over and consider myself a destination photographer that covers the entire United States! I have been published 14 times by doing what I love, photography. I am first and foremost “mama” to Hunter and Stella. Everyone in my little family are Pisces. We’re a very creative and emotional household. I love to hike, garden, kayak, swim, and camp; pretty much anything that can pull me into nature gets me excited. I indulge myself in the arts. In my free time you can find me painting, singing, dancing, digging into some clay, or of course behind my camera. Candles, bath bombs, pens that glide across paper, and cute socks are a few of my favorite things. My soul is filled with wanderlust so being able to travel AND take photos is a dream come true for me. I love exploring beautiful new places, meeting rad people, and testing out unique (to me) foods. Of course, my trusty camera is always along for the ride. Near, far, wherever you are, I will always be down to travel to you and capture your moments.
I absolutely LOVE what I do and have since I held my first camera at 13. Story time, when I was 13 I started suffering from long term memory loss. In my young mind the only way to remember things were to take photos of everything around me. When I say everything I literally mean everything, family, friends, food, places, plants, everything. This obsession to remember all the things around me quickly turned to a passion for the art of photography. I can’t imagine how my life may have been altered if I hadn’t picked up my first camera. I want to be your photographer so that 50+ years from now you can still look back and remember exactly how you felt in that moment.
